CDBG Notice of Requests for Funding & Public Hearing

CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE
NOTICE OF REQUESTS FOR FUNDING AND PUBLIC HEARING
FOR 2017 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

The City of Poughkeepsie is accepting Requests for Funding for 2017 CDBG funds from eligible non-profit organizations.  Eligible activities must meet the National Objective primarily benefiting low and moderate income City of Poughkeepsie residents and the priorities outlined in the 5 year Consolidated Plan.  Applications may be obtained at the Social Development Office, City Hall, 2nd Floor, on the City’s website (see below),  or by calling (845) 451-4046 and an application will be mailed to you.

A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, October 05, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Poughkeepsie, NY.  This hearing is to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on activities they believe should be funded with the 2017 Community Development Block Grant funds.  All comments at the public hearing will be taken into consideration when preparing the Draft 2017 Action Plan.

Applications must be submitted to Herbert L. Bullock Jr., Social Development Director, City of Poughkeepsie, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 02, 2016.  E-mail applications will not be accepted.
