PK Management Updates – Rip Van Winkle

For the past 72 hours, the site team, city building inspectors, and electricians have been working around the clock to restore electric service to Rip Van Winkle. We are pleased to announce that the electricity is back on the West Wing of the building! PK Management is working with the Poughkeepsie Building Department to ensure that it is safe for residents to return. Once it is safe to return, PK Management will provide transportation from the Civic Center to Rip Van Winkle on Saturday November 4, 2017.

Residents located in the West Wing have been notified during the tenant meeting on Friday evening. If you have questions regarding the location of your unit (East or West), please contact the hotline below and we will be happy to assist you.

Unfortunately, those residents located on the East Wing of the building will not be able to return to the building until further notice. Starting on Sunday, November 5th, we will provide hotel accommodations for those households. We will contact each of you directly regarding your individual hotel arrangements. Please make sure you have a photo ID at the time of check-in.

Due to the power outage, all food was removed from all unit refrigerators. Due to this inconvenience, we will provide every Rip Van Winkle household with a $100 reimbursement check. These checks can be picked at Rip Van Winkle beginning Monday November 6, 2017. The checks will be remitted in the name of head of household for the unit.

On Saturday, November 4, 2017, we will continue to provide transportation to and from the Civic Center to Rip Van Winkle for anyone that would like to pick up items from their apartments. The shuttle will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday November 4th.
