City Seeks Residents to Serve on the Waterfront Advisory Committee

The City of Poughkeepsie is currently seeking residents who would be interested in serving as a member of the Waterfront Advisory Committee.

The Waterfront Advisory Committee shall consists of thirteen members who have are City of Poughkeepsie residents and/or representatives of organizations that are based in the city and who have a longstanding interest in the waterfront either by virtue of their residence within the city or their participation in activities affecting the Waterfront. Four committee members shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Common Council, and of the four, at least one shall be a staff member of Scenic Hudson, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater or a similar environmental organization based in the city. The Mayor shall appoint the nine other committee members. For further information regarding the Waterfront Advisory Committee please refer to Section 18 ½ -5 of the City of Poughkeepsie Code.

City residents interested in becoming a member of the Waterfront Advisory Committee are asked to send your letter of interest along with a resume and any relevant background information to City Chamberlain Deanne Flynn at [email protected] or by mail at 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie New York 12601 prior to March 18, 2011.
