NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Historic District and Landmarks Preservation Commission of the City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, in the Common Council Chambers, Third Floor, City Hall, Civic  Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, New York, on the 24th day of April, 2013 at 7:00pm, to consider the nomination of the property located at 20 Academy Street Tax Map Parcel #131300-6162-77-108039-0000 for designation as a local historic landmark, pursuant to the provisions of Section 19-4.5 of the Zoning Ordinance.

 

The Commission will, at said time and place, hear all persons in support of this matter and any objections thereto. Persons may appear in person, agent, or may submit comments in writing to:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the Charter and Codes of the City of Poughkeepsie, Administrative Code, Section 14.04, the Public Hearing Scheduled for Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. has been postponed  and the Common Council Public Hearing will now be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 5:30 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers, Third Floor, Municipal Building/City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, New York, for the purpose of receiving comments purpose of receiving comments on the proposed 2013 Budget.  A copy of the proposed budget is available for viewing in the City Chamberlain’s Office, First Floor, Monday through Friday,8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Public hearings for the proposed 2013 Budget will take place on:

  • November 5, 2012 at 5:30pm
  • November 19, 2012 at 5:30pm

The public hearings will be held in the Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall (62 Civic Center Plaza). Parking is available in the City Hall garage, accessible from Mill Street.  The sessions are open to the public.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the Charter and Codes of the City of Poughkeepsie, Administrative Code, Section 14.04, a Common Council Public Hearing will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 5:30 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers, Third Floor, Municipal Building/City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, New York, for the purpose of receiving comments on the proposed 2013 Budget.  A hard copy of the proposed budget is available for viewing in the City Chamberlain’s Office, First Floor, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Public Meeting Notice: CDBG 2013-2017 Consolidated Plan

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

2013-2017 CONSOLIDATED PLAN

The Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development, division of Community Development and Housing, and the City of Poughkeepsie Office of Social Development are holding public meetings for comments on the working draft of the Executive Summary and the Strategic Plan of the 2013-2017 Consolidated Plan which establishes the priorities for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Programs.  The County and City may receive approximately $2.3 million dollars annually through these programs over the next five years and priorities established in this Plan will direct the allocation of these resources to programs and projects that will benefit low and moderate-income persons. We invite all interested parties to attend one of the following public meetings to have input into the establishment of these priorities:
