The City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department, in preparation for Fire Prevention Week (October 7-13), has registered with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) – “Partnering for Fire-Safe Communities”.
The City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department has also registered with “Sparky’s Wish List” for various fire prevention materials which will be distributed to the local schools and community during the month of October.
Sparky’s Wish List
Partnering for Fire-Safe Communities is helping fire departments facing lean budgets to fund the purchase of life-saving fire safety educational materials. Sparky’s Wish List invites fire departments to create a free online wish list for Fire Prevention Week materials through a simple online tool. Businesses and the public can fulfill departments’ wish lists and provide these critical educational materials for their communities.
