Bus ServiceThe City Bus office operates the City of Poughkeepsie Transit System which provides affordable, regularly scheduled mass transportation service for city residents and visitors. Each day, 5 City buses travel over 650 miles and provide transportation for 1,200 citizens.
The City Bus Schedule is available on the Forms and Application page and also at City Hall (1st Floor, Tax Department).
Paratransit Service
As required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Dutchess County LOOP operates an ADA Complementary Paratransit Service for qualified individuals residing in Dutchess County and the City of Poughkeepsie.
2008 Holiday Bus Schedule
There is no city bus service on the following city holidays:
January 1 (Tuesday) - New Years Holiday
May 26 (Monday) - Memorial Day
July 4 (Friday) - Independence Day
September 1 (Monday) - Labor Day
November 27 (Thursday) - Thanksgiving Day
December 25 (Thursday) - Christmas Day
