Police Chief Thomas Pape

Chief Pape was appointed as the top official in the chain of command of the police department in January 2016.  As chief, he is responsible for the departments operations, budget and oversight of approximately 100 sworn officers and 25 civilians.

Chief Pape has served the police department since 1983.  He has served in both the patrol and detective division.  In addition, he has served as a Supervisor in Patrol, Traffic Division, Community Policing and the Neighborhood Recovery Unit.  As Police Captain he had oversight of the specialized units as well as the detective division.

Police Administrative Captain Steven Minard

Captain Minard has served the police department since 1984.  He has supervised both the Patrol and Traffic Division and as the Commanding Officer of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force. Captain Minard is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Captain Minard was appointed Captain in January of 2001 and currently serves as the Administrative Captain.

Police Operations Captain Richard Wilson

Captain Wilson has served the police department since 1994.  He has supervised the Patrol, Community Policing and the Neighborhood Recovery Unit. Captain Wilson was appointed Captain in July of 2016 and currently serves as the Operations Captain.
