Poughkeepsie Galleries


The Poughkeepsie Public Library District will offer the community diverse services and programs resulting in an informed and educated public, and will promote lifelong learning, literacy, and reading.

To meet the artistic and educational needs of the Hudson Valley by showcasing professional and community artists in the theatre, music, and visual arts. Also to preserve two historically significant and beautiful Victorian age buildings that provide a variety of performance, exhibition and office spaces.

We achieve our mission to foster and perpetuate an appreciation of the visual arts in the Mid-Hudson Valley through exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations.

The Mid-Hudson Heritage Center (MHHC) is a non-profit community organization that is dedicated to enriching our area through arts and cultural events. MHHC operates Art Centro at 485 Main Street, The Heritage Center Gallery at 317 Main Street, The Historic Glebe House at 635 Main Street, and PUF Studios at 8 North Cherry Street.

Queen City 15 gallery is located in the heart of Main Street, Poughkeepsie, at 317 Main Street.  It is a member-based community of artists.  The mission of the gallery is to provide a showcase for emerging and established artists to display and sell their original artwork, while building community among artists and patrons. Queen City 15 operates under the generous support and fiscal sponsorship of the Mid Hudson Heritage Center. 

Womenswork.art is an event based gallery in Poughkeepsie, NY, whose mission is to showcase the artwork and curated projects of under the radar women artists, whose voices are relevant to building community.
