O+ Poughkeepsie: Call for Submissions

The second O+ Festival in Poughkeepsie NY is taking place on August 3rd & 4th, 2018. The theme of this year’s festival is: Shadow.  The Poughkeepsie O+ Festival curatorial teams is accepting submissions from artists and musicians/bands until April 13th.  If you are chosen to install artwork or play a concert during the festival, you will have access to the complimentary health and wellness clinic, staffed by art-loving volunteer providers.  Apply at http://opositivefestival.org/poughkeepsie/

Public Arts Commission Seeks Member to Serve

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Poughkeepsie Public Arts Commission is looking for a member to serve. Commission members must be city residents and either a working artist, arts professional or member of the community interested in the arts.

Those wishing to be considered for the position on the Public Arts Commission can send an email to [email protected], or a letter to Sarah Wilson at McCabe & Mack, 63 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

The commission was created in July of 2016 by Mayor Rob Rolison to advocate for the arts and raise awareness of local cultural offerings. The Hudson Valley has a rich artistic legacy dating back more than a century and the arts leave a multi-million dollar impact on Dutchess County economy.

Please submit all letters of interest no later than April 15, 2018.
