Project Description
The City of Poughkeepsie has identified the need for improvements at Bartlett Park including the replacement of recently removed children’s play equipment and the implementation of a basketball court. The City has retained LaBella Associates (LaBella) to assist with the park’s revitalization. Specifically, LaBella and the City (Project Team) will prepare construction drawings for the proposed features at the park and will also include new signage, a water fountain, electrical hookups for small events and limited lighting. The result of this process will provide the City with construction documents for the implementation of the improvements planned for Fall 2023.
Project Workshops and Meetings
Gaining access to specialized knowledge held by adjacent residents, key stakeholders and the public is a major benefit of public engagement. Residents and stakeholders will often possess technical information which is important to decision makers. LaBella, in partnership with the City of Poughkeepsie, will engage stakeholders and the general public throughout this design process. After gaining feedback from the adjacent residents and the public, LaBella will prepare a Draft Conceptual Park Plan for public review and input The purpose of this public workshop is to present initial findings and offer input towards the final concept plan and construction drawings.
