The city Friday celebrated the substantial renovations made to Pershing Avenue Park, which include resurfacing the basketball courts and replacing hoops and backboards, in addition to new playground equipment, benches and tables, and a new walking path -- with all the amenities being enhanced by new solar lighting.
The city thanks its partners Scenic Hudson, New City Parks, Green Mountain Energy Company and others for their help with this project. Friday's event also featured a harvest festival in the community garden at the park.
The city recently made vast improvements to Pulaski Park as well, including the addition of soccer pitches, and is working on renovations to Malcolm X Park. To read more about the Pershing Avenue Park project, go here.
