The city has released its 2023 Community Development Block Grant application.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is a federally funded formula-based grant allocated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to eligible cities. It provides funds to improve the quality-of-life of low- and moderate-income residents through the planning and development of municipal infrastructure and public amenities.
This grant award allows the city to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward program administration, city infrastructure, revitalization of city neighborhoods, rehabilitation of existing housing, homelessness and homeless prevention, youth services, health services, economic development, and providing community facilities and services.
All applicants are encouraged to contact the Division of Social Development with any questions and to discuss program eligibility.
