Poughkeepsie City Hall is Open for Services with Digital and Other Options Still Available

City of Poughkeepsie officials announced today that City Hall is open for services, but residents are reminded that numerous automated systems have been put in place for their convenience to help them access services without coming to City Hall.

City officials had to close City Hall several times during the height of the pandemic, after some employees tested positive for COVID-19 tests. City Hall has subsequently been open to visitors who had made appointments with certain departments.

“We are hoping with the COVID-19 vaccinations readily available, people will get their shots to protect themselves and their families,” said Mayor Rob Rolison. “We want to be able to interact with people in person, and we also want to protect our employees and the community at large.”

Following guidance from the federal Centers for Disease Control and New York State Health Department, mask-wearing is voluntary for all vaccinated city employees and members of the public visiting city offices.

Appointments can still be made online at: https://cityofpoughkeepsie.com/appointment

The City Chamberlain’s office is open to public visits from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
